Dr. Victor Terranova, Oral Surgeon
Dr. Victor Terranova is a big personality at Steinway Family Dental Center, and has a long and distinguished career in the field of dentistry. His expertise spans four decades in dentistry, having owned his own practice, previously holding a staff position at the National Institutes of Health and Columbia University, and is President of Cytotaxis, Inc. and Chief Scientific Officer for Contran Medical Technologies.
Dr. Terranova performs all the oral surgery, implants, extractions. and maxillo-facial surgeries needed at the practice. He holds a dual degree having trained in all major maxillofacial surgical procedures. He has plastic surgery training and oral pathology training.
In his spare time, Dr. Terranova enjoys skiing competitively, racing Ferraris, and participating in competitive tennis.
Dr. Brian Webber, Endodontist
Dr. Brian Webber is originally from Long Island and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the College of Dental Medicine at Columbia University. Next, he completed an internship at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. Following the internship he stayed at Columbia to earn his Certificate of Specialization in Endodontics. While at Columbia University he also received an OKU excellence award in Endodontics and an Alpha Omega award for the highest scholarship in his graduating class. Dr. Webber has been practicing dentistry for more than 30 years and he devotes much of his attention to "pain-free" dental therapy. Dr. Webber has authored many articles in dental journals with reference to numbing the teeth with local anesthesia. Indeed, patients have referred to Dr. Webber as the "painless" root canal specialist. Dr. Webber enjoys being involved in the community and serves as a judge for the Long Island High School science fair.
Dr. Finn, Periodontist
Dr. Finn graduated from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts and then moved to New York where he served as the Chief Operating Officer for the Cornell affiliated Sadick Clinical Research Group on Park Avenue. During his time there, his research focus was on the role of lasers and other agents in the field of cosmetic dermatology. Dr Finn has authored several papers and has liaised with the FDA to help gain approval for medical lasers and other devices in the US. Dr. Finn graduated from NYU Dental School where he finished in the top 10 of his class and was subsequently elected into the national dental honors society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. He also is a past recipient of the American Academy of Periodontology Award for Outstanding Achievements in Periodontics. Dr Finn completed his post-graduate training in Periodontics at New York University in the Department of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry and is Board Certified by the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Finn is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Academy of Osseointegration and the American Dental Association.
