Everything You Need To Know About Teeth-In-A-Day

Dr. Aleksandr Dayanayev

What is teeth-in-a-day?

It's either you get all your teeth replaced in one day, some of the teeth replaced, or maybe even one tooth replaced in one day.

When is somebody a good candidate for teeth-in-a-day?

Someone who's missing one tooth or has a broken tooth and wants to have it fixed in one day would be a good candidate for it.

What are the pros and cons of teeth-in-a-day?

The pros would be that you spend a little time in a dental office and when you leave, you have your teeth. You're not spending multiple visits, nor months and months to get everything fixed.

Everything is done in that same day, and when you leave, you get the final product or a temporary final product. Even if you return for a better product later, you get something temporary today and then something more permanent, or you can get it all fixed in that one day.

What are the advantages of teeth-in-a-day versus dentures?

The advantages are that you basically get everything fixed, and it's more comfortable than having a removable denture. A removable denture requires multiple visits, and when the denture is ready, you will receive it. Today, dentures are made faster, but they still require more than one appointment.

What is involved in the process of gettingteeth-in-a-day?

It depends on whether it is a single tooth replacement or multiple tooth replacements. You can have one tooth replaced in that same day and leave with it. If you're missing a tooth, you get an implant, and then you would have a crown on that implant. You can have a temporary crown placed right away and return, let's say, 3 to 6 months later to get a more permanent crown, but you would leave with the tooth today.

Is the teeth-in-a-day procedure painful?

Not really painful. The only thing painful is the injection. After that, you really don't know what the doctor is doing, so it's not painful.

Is the recovery for teeth-in-a-day painful?

There's some degree of soreness you would expect, but the product you're getting acts as a band-aid. It helps with the pain you're experiencing, and you can use them right away. You can start eating, though you're not going to be breaking nuts with those teeth yet, but it will get to that point.

What anesthesia options are available during the teeth-in-a-day procedure?

Options range from local anesthetic to no anesthetic at all, to being fully sedated or consciously sedated. This means you're asleep but conscious, all the way to being put under general anesthesia and waking up with the teeth already in your mouth, ready to go.

Are there any special instructions for caring for my new teeth?

Yes. You don't want to abuse them right away. Start slow, make sure you're comfortable with them, and don't use heavy pressure. You're not going to start chewing steak on them; instead, eat soft foods at the beginning. You want to get used to having your new teeth so you can understand how to best use them.

What is the cost for teeth-in-a-day, and what financial options are available?

It depends on what you need. If you just need a filling, it could be done in one day and be less expensive than extracting all teeth and getting a new set of implants and teeth. The cost varies based on the type of treatment you need.

You should ask either your doctor or, when you come in, ask us what exactly you need, and based on that, we can determine the cost. Financial options are always available. At least in this office, you have different payment options: check, cash, credit card, and financing. Some loans are interest-free, and some have interest, depending on what is comfortable for your budget. You will be presented with all those options and can decide what's best for you.

Will insurance help with getting teeth-in-a-day?

If you have dental insurance, they would cover some of it and help you get it done and pay for it.
